Hi,

Thank you for the app. I am having a problem with it recognizing the master page. I am creating a publishing site (I changed that template elements.xml to create a sub-site instead of a site collection). I changed the master page value to "mysitename.sharepoint.com/.../oslo.master". I get an invalid URL error. If I go to the master pages gallery and hover on the oslo.master in its view properties, the URL is equal to what I put in the elements.xml file. The site is created just fine. It just blows up when trying to update the new web MasterURL. Any ideas?

Im developing something similar and i would like to know how you stop the people picker from displayed your name, as it would be invalid to send a kudos to yourself! as well as how would stop the people picker from selecting the same user twice?

Hey Stefan...you would likely complement these rollups with a detail page that can read an ID from the url and display content accordingly. Again, this is similar to cross-site publishing where a catalog connection automatically creates a detail page that is driven from url tokens.

Hey Vipul Jain 03 and SupriyaK...the solution outlined in this post is meant as a reference solution but is far from production ready. First, the encoding should probably run on a worker role instead of the web request thread for more reliable uploading. That said...do you see the media in the Azure Portal? If so, do you see the status of the encoding job? Is the VideoSetEmbedCode field on the video set getting set?

The problem I see here that it's ok for displaying the news snippets but won't you end up on the other site collection if someone clicks on the link?

Hi,

I am also facing the same issue. We have created a custom player page and given the source of that page in the iframe. The video gets uploaded in the library but the player page does not open.

We also tried using the same iframe code by using embed code option given OOTB but it gave the error -

"The embed code is invalid because the source of the embed content is not allowed.".

Kindly help us with the same.

Hi, I have spoken to alot of people and consultants and were unable to get any assistance on how to setup SP 2013 for multiple tenants. Have you got any guidance with regards to this? BTW - Love this app.

Bruno - I've been able to achieve this, but it is buggy for the following reasons:

- app installed events (which would be used for applying the masterpage to the site) only fires for the app catalog...not the individual sites

- the masterpage needs to live within the site collection to be accepted and this is hard to do for new site collections

- the app web isn't the best location for the masterpage because of potential authentication hops, but the only clean option you really have control of from your app.

I think owning the provisioning process is a much better approach as is outlined in the following post: blogs.msdn.com/.../self-service-site-provisioning-using-apps-for-sharepoint-2013.aspx
