Now Blogging - Steve Cook

Steve Cook, a software architect on Visual Studio Team System at Microsoft's Cambridge Research Centre, has launched his blog (Steve Cook's WebLog - RSS). I've already added Steve to the master list of Team System bloggers (Visual Studio Team System Blogs). Steve Cook previously worked for IBM, where he achieved the status of Distinguished Engineer. At IBM, he was a member of the IBM Academy of Technology, which is a select group of technologists that represent the brain trust of IBM's technical leadership. He was also a member of the UML 2.0 core team and worked on Eclipse/EMF. Be sure to read his first post (Looking forward to OOPSLA) on the upcoming OOPSLA conference in Vancouver, BC.

Sharing the Whiteboard

Gareth Jones, a developer that works with the aforementioned Steve Cook in Cambridge, has returned his blog (GarethJ's WebLog - RSS) to its modeling roots. In this post (On distributing my office whiteboard), Gareth discusses some of the various technologies his team uses for communicating visually with remote teams.

NetObjectives Streamzine

NetObjectives, a training and consulting company located in Issaquah, WA, has expanded their free online offerings (see their ezine Articles and Latest Seminar Notes) to include streaming presentations, such as Scott Bain on Patterns and Forces: Strategy and Chain of Responsibility, which explores the relationship between patterns and the forces in the problem domain. Only the most recent "streamzine" is available online, so be sure to watch them as they become available.
