Visual Studio Team System

  • There’s a new Team System community site – TeamSystemRocks.com!
  • Well, Jeff Lynch rekindled the fire around Team System pricing over on codebetter.com , and he was quickly joined by Steve Hebert  and Brendan Tompkins . But I think Darrel Norton helps put things in perspective . I had several discussions at TechEd last month with attendees, speakers and vendors. I found that Team System pricing will never sit well with some customers, while others feel they are still getting their money’s worth and sometimes more.

  • Dave McKinstry is having trouble with editing MPP files. However, to edit an MPP file in SharePoint, you have to use the edit menu and click Edit in Microsoft Office Project 2003. In Team Explorer, we’ll also have an Edit command on the shortcut menu.
  • As David Lemphers notes, the VSTSEclipse project has been quite lately , but Martin Woodward has been quite busy.

Testing

  • A forthcoming update to Microsoft AntiSpyware will resolve the issue it had with blocking Team System unit testing.
