For the curious (me), these are the ten most popular posts on this blog in 2005, which I determiend using an arbitrary system based on Web hits, aggregator hits, and comments. Also, I didn't count the "New Team System Stuff" posts I used to do.

  1. A Hitchhiker’s Guide to Visual Studio 2005 Team System, Part I
  2. A Hitchhiker’s Guide to Visual Studio 2005 Team System, Part II
  3. Team Foundation Server, Windows SharePoint Services and Active Directory

  • Regarding the Hitchhiker's Guide (which is great) ...

I've got a question regarding setting up a software developer for VS.NET 2005.

I keep seeing "Visual Studio 2005 Team Edition for Software Developers" mentioned, but nowhere in our MSDN subscription can I find a product call this -- only "Visual Studio 2005 Professional Edition.

I've already setup a Team Foundation Server, and it seems to be running great. Now I want to setup a developer workstation to work with it -- what version of Visual Studio should I install?

I've found tons of walkthroughs for setting up TFS, but nothing for a developer workstation.

    Thanks,

    Wade

Wade, it sounds like you may need to transition or upgrade your MSDN subscription.

    Check the transition FAQ: http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/products/subscriptions/transition/faq/
