Team Foundation Server MSSCCI Provider Update

Team Foundation Server MSSCCI Provider Update

  • Comments 2

Are you trying or wanting to access Team Foundation Server from an environment that supports MSSCCI (e.g., Visual Studio .NET, Visual Studio 6.0, Visual FoxPro, etc.)? If so, Brian Harry reports that his team is nearly finished with an update to the Team Foundation Server MSSCCI provider to support Team Foundation Server RTM.

In his post, he provides a list of what’s new in this release, which should be out in early April, and he asks for your feedback on how the provider is doing in the variety of third-party applications that support MSSCCI integration. See his post for the details.

We are in the process of releasing an updated MSSCCI provider to work with the released version of Team Foundation Server. We expect to post a new drop the week of April 3rd (no exact day at this point :)). The coding and testing is pretty much done and we're just working through the release mechanics now.

  • Will SQL Server Management Studio be supported by this MSSCCI provider? The last Beta of the MSSCCI didn't work with Management Studio and Team Explorer doesn't seem to work in SQL Server Management Studio either.
  • Yes, it is supported. Team Explorer should work in the next update.
