July Partner Toolkit and Team Foundation Server Disc

July Partner Toolkit and Team Foundation Server Disc

  • Comments 3

Several people have commented on my blog post (New Team Foundation Server Partner Benefit) and sent me e-mail that the Team Foundation Server disc they received in the July Partner Toolkit was actually a duplicate of the Microsoft Windows Server 2003 with Service Pack 1 (SP1) Microsoft Windows Preinstallation Environment Version 2005 disc. Microsoft Partner Program (MSPP) is aware of the issue and they determined that only North American shipments have this issue. The correct disc will go out in the August Partner Toolkit. If you want to receive a replacement disc before then, contact your Microsoft Partner Program Regional Support Center.

At least now you have a backup disc for Microsoft Windows Server 2003 with Service Pack 1 (SP1) Microsoft Windows Preinstallation Environment Version 2005. As Maxwell Smart would say, "Sorry about that, Chief."

This has not been a fun ordeal. Not much of a benefit if you can't take advantage of it.

I tried actually PURCHASING it and they couldn't point me in the right direction there either.  I'm not sure how I can tell my clients to buy this if I can't even tell them where to go to buy it.  If you search on most of the reseller's sites, it's not even listed.
  • I'm hearing through the grapevine that eligible Microsoft Partners received their much awaited Team Foundation...
