We just published an update to a TechNote I blogged about back in August (Configuring Team Foundation Server to Use a Remote SharePoint Server) to fix-up a few glitches. Thanks go to Dan Kershaw, a program manager on Team Foundation Server, for finding the working path outlined in this TechNote.

This technical note describes the steps that you must follow to configure an installation of Team Foundation Server to use a pre-existing SharePoint Server that is not on the Team Foundation Server application-tier computer.

  • THe SKUs must go in VS.  They are not compatible with XP and Microsoft best practices.  All developers should have access to stress testing tools!

  • Can the remote sharepoint server be a Sharepoint portal server (SPS) instead of Windows Sharepoint services?  We have a SPS setup for a company intranet and  having the TFS portals there along with the rest of the company internal data would make life much easier.

  • Un collègue m'a encore posé la question aujourd'hui: Comment faire en sorte que TFS utilise un WSS (V2)
