This weekend I read a short blurb on a customer blog that talked about Vista's Windows Speech Recognition compared with that of Apple's OS X Tiger release. Here's what the customer had to say:

I installed RC1 of Windows Vista for my wife about 2 days ago. Last night she was playing with the speech recognition feature. I am really impressed. I heard a demo flopped when MS demoed it, but it really works well now. Compared to Apple’s speech recognition in Tiger, it rocks. You really can not do too much with Apple’s speech recognition. Vista on the other hand allows you almost full control of your computer by voice. You can control applications, and even dictate an e-mail.

If you have a spare computer and have RC1 of Vista, install and play with the speech recognition, it is pretty fun.

I agree. :-) Try it out. Let us know what you think.
