Late last week 2 additional Windows Vista LIPs where launched on the web site
The Malay Language (ISO 639-1 code: MS) is officially known as “Bahasa Malaysia” or “Bahasa Melay”. The Malay language is spoken in many countries and is estimated as spoken by between 20-30 million people throughout the world. One of the tools we use internally to try and understand what is happening with our content on the Windows Help and How-to site is looking to see if any articles for whatever reason are not indexed by the major search engine (Google, Yahoo, Live etc). And then try and find out why and improve our content and processes so that it is more discoverable.
Below are 5 such articles that at the minuet are not indexed by Windows Live Search:
So this post has 2 aims, firstly to highlight to you the content that is available and secondly as an experiment to see how quickly after this posting does the content appear in the Windows Live search catalogues.
Let me know what you think of the content.

Following on from my posting from a couple of weeks ago we have put up some more Windows Help and How-to videos:
Let me know what you think of them
Inspired by a piece on our intranet I thought I would share some videos from Zune-arts which is
“… a place where emerging artists collaborate on inspiring works of art; where sharing, connection, discovery and friendship are celebrated; a place that’s continuously growing, ever evolving and always open to new voices, influences and ideas.”
Such as Masks, which has just been inducted into the Museum of Modern Arts permanent film collection.

I got an email over the weekend from one of my colleagues (Michael) who was pointing me to the new Microsoft Environment web site at http://www.microsoft.com/environment/ . So I thought I would check it out and see what it had to offer.
After a quick search I was pretty impressed with the content and layout. Of particular interest to this blogger was some of the Windows Vista content and links such as:
The Make an Impact section was particularly of interest.
In general I think Microsoft Gets it when it comes to greenish issues, but that shouldn’t stop us doing more to reduce our impact, watch the video about Microsoft environmental efforts (13.6Mb). On an individual level be that from reducing travel trips to getting the latest software as a download Vs on DVD.
As an aside my conversation with Michael I have been pointed to some great internal resources about Microsoft and environmental discussions and issues.

Whilst flicking through the finalists for this years Next-Gen PC competition I spotted this rather great idea of an integrated mug and PC. The Juno PC by Jason Farsai, and it was my favourite amongst the finalists.
Imagine sipping that hot black Americano (my coffee of choice, just above a double espresso), whilst getting all your information at the same time. More like information at your lips vs than fingertips!
