life beyond the pc So it looks like http://mobile.microsoft.com is now also showing the new updated styling of the Windows homepage and also some nice new content.

The little video to download is pretty cool and is worth watching, you might start to see some themes coming through with all the other demos going live at the minute.  It is optimised for a mobile device (Windows Mobile Phones, iPhones and other phones…)

There are also some US only Phone and PC offers if you are interested… as well as the latest Live Search download.

Yesterday I posted about the 2 new Windows Vista LIPs (Malay and Assamese) that became available over the weekend.

Well last night 2 Indian language LIPs where launched:

    1. Oriya -  download

“Oriya is one of the official languages of India. About 90 percent of the speakers live in the state Orissa in the East of India, but there are also sizable communities in the neighboring states of West Bengal and Jharkand and, due to labor migration, also in Gujarat”

    2. Bengali -  download

“Bengali is spoken in the region of eastern South Asia known as Bengal, comprising Bangladesh (where it is spoken by about 110 million people) and the Indian state of West Bengal  (where it is spoken by 55 million people). With more than 200 million speakers it is the second most widely spoken language on the Indian subcontinent and among the 5 languages with the most native speakers worldwide. Bengali is official language of Bangladesh, one of India’s 23 official languages and the official language of the Indian states of West Bengal and Tripura."

****Please note that above LIPs can only be installed on systems that run an English version of Windows Vista. ****

I’ve just created a mini me

    Posted over 5 years ago

Mini-ME No this isn’t a Dr Evil Mini Me post but rather a quick bit of fun to spice up your Windows Live Messenger…  Over at http://www.minimise-me.com you can create your own character and download in into your messenger.

Mini meNot sure about the one I created, I don’t have a hat like that, and it is a little bit Pete Doherty esque (or maybe the Artful Dodger)  but it could suit :)

I should have probably chosen the racing driver helmet as more appropriate considering my past time...

Minimis me, make a mini you

Pick one of the celebrity characters if making your own is just too much effort.
