Yesterday I mentioned that we have some new (30) Windows help and how-to articles that have been developed specifically for Internet Explorer 8. However below is the full list to each article in case you needed them:
Just noticed the nice little notification in Windows 7 reminding me that daylight savings will begin on 29th march 2009 at 01:00
nice little touch, can’t remember seeing that in Vista , although it could have been there.
The Moneual, Jewel-covered PC coming in at around 15 20 grand is not a PC that Lauren (from the latest I’m A PC ad) would have chosen…
DVICE: Moneual unveils Korea's most expensive, jewel-covered personal computer
it even makes a Mac look cheap!
Not to my tastes (although it does run Vista) and rather something gaudy that a premiership footballer would own…
Updated with more accurate exchange rate due to the weakness of the pound!!!
Web Slices are something new in Internet Explorer 8, they basically let you subscribe to just a certain part or a web page (and see when it is updated) and see that information in your favourites tool bar.
You will know if a certain part of a web page is a Web Slice because when you place your mouse pointer over it a little green icon and border will appear, like this on the UK MSN homepage
Simply click on the icon and you will get a little pop up message
And then you will get an extra option on your favorites tool bar, in this case On MSN Today and if you click that you will be taken to the MSN homepage news section.
For more information on Web Slices in Internet Explorer 8 try this FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
There are many more web slices available on the Internet Explorer Add-ons web site at http://www.ieaddons.com/en/webslices/ let me know which Web Slices you use.
Not sure which windows mobile phone is right for you ? then try this latest web site http://www.whatsmyphonestyle.com from Windows Mobile.
When I went through the site it said my style was
‘I'm always in control on a good day, success means a leisurely game of tennis or lazing at the swimming pool. At other times, you’re travel;ling for a project and meeting challenging deadlines. Work or play, Windows Mobile puts you firmly in the driver’s seat’
and the phone it chose for me was the HTC Touch Viva which looks a nice little device.
Go through the site and let me know what type of phone fits your style :)
