Windows Update error FFFFFFFE

This error occurs when installing SQL Server 2008 Service Pack 2 (SP2) on a computer with Microsoft .NET Framework 4 Client Profile already installed. Microsoft .NET Framework 4 Client Profile doesn't contain the complete set of .NET Framework libraries needed to complete the installation. Windows MultiPoint Server allows multiple users to simultaneously share a single computer. Each user gets their own personal Windows desktop experience using a monitor, keyboard and mouse directly connected to the shared computer.
