    http://www.makearchitects.com/

Make Architects“Based in London, Make is an award-winning international practice that designs complex and iconic buildings. The firm is 100 percent owned by its 125 employees and has seen continual growth by ensuring it had the best technology in place. It sought to create a stronger image and an enjoyable front desk experience for its clients. In May 2012, Make got the opportunity to use two tablets running the Windows 8 Pro operating system. It also ran Windows 8 Pro on two desktop computers. The receptionist replaced her iPad with a tablet, which made it much easier to accomplish daily tasks. The firm tested the operating system by installing its line-of-business software—including computer-aided design software—on it. Employees are delighted with the interface, speed, and reliability of the operating system. Make benefits from an enhanced reception area, an outstanding user experience, support for its architectural needs, and improved productivity”

Really some of the quotes from Mark Read the It Manager at Make

“The benefits of Windows 8 Pro are great. It’s certainly got the ‘wow’ factor. It’s absolutely amazing”

“What we can do with Windows 8 Pro we can’t do with anything else.”

Short tutorial sessions will include topics such as the basics of the OS and interaction with the OS, Metro style UX with examples in Store apps, The Store and the developer opportunity, the high level view of the platform – i.e. WinRT and the choice around implementation technology, and the tooling – the role of Visual Studio and Expression Blend”
