* of course a number of caveats to this number
After seeing that Eric gained 17Mb of hard disk space, I decided to see how much disk space I could recover using the Disk clean up utility.
After a quick scan I was able to save 3.20 Mb of disk space :)
if you are interested in running this utility follow the steps outlined at this Windows Help and How-to article:
Let me know how much disk space you gained.
The Microsoft Terminology Community forums have been opened up so that anyone speaking any of the following languages can give feedback, comments and suggestions for the use and expression of technical concepts in Microsoft Products:
"Your feedback will be reviewed by our language specialists and local market experts who will update our terminology glossary accordingly. The updated terminology will then be considered for inclusion in the next version of Office and Windows. "
More information from Britta on the Microsoft Language Portal.

In the US they have launched the new design for the /windows web site at http://www.microsoft.com/windows
It was designed with the principles of being Light, Clean and Fast. In my opinion it hit those three criteria, but what do you think?
We will be working over the coming months to get /uk/windows into the new design
Just taken the Internet Geek Survey and although I answered 12 yeses for the 16 questions I was given the rating that…
“Unfortunately you have failed to reach the lofty heights of geekdom but a valiant effort nevertheless. You are obviously familiar with some online applications and can probably be found glued to Live Messenger, buried under a flurry of e-mails or writing intellectually sound blog-posts.”

So last week I posted hyperlinks to 4 more articles following our original test the prior week, in an effort to get all on Windows Help and how-to content indexed on the 3 major search engines. Again as expected we have seen an increase in articles that are now indexed:
The digital gardener: Using your computer to plan, organize, and keep track of your vegetable garden
Kids online: A parents guide to monitoring computer use
Room to grow: Get more space by using external hard disk drives
Set up a dual-boot system
in a while I will look at the web stats to see what this has meant from a traffic increase and understand that impact.
I had this passed onto me by my colleague and WMC guru Abid :)
“That's why I'm pleased to share with all of you that we've signed a deal with the Windows Media Center team at Microsoft to own and manage the TGB web site, which will help take our community to the next level.”
The Green Button - Exciting Announcement: The Green Button and Microsoft!
