If you where expecting a Windows 8 app update (maybe the recent update to the in built People App, Mail, Calendar &Music App) but are not being offered it, then you can try forcing the app to be updated. Here is how:
Firstly open the Windows Store and go to settings in the charm bar
then select App Updates
Check for updates
Select which apps you want to update
press install and your apps should get updated

How to use File History in Windows 8
“File History automatically backs up files that are in your libraries, contacts, favourites, Microsoft SkyDrive and on your desktop. If the originals are lost, damaged or deleted, you can restore all of them. You can also find different versions of your files from a specific point in time. Over time, you'll have a complete history of your files”
