If you're a reader of my blog, you'll remember that way back in 2011 I wrote a blog post that shows folks how to slip stream service pack 1 of SharePoint 2010 into the RTM media. Those instructions work for a service pack or cumulative update. With the release of Service Pack 2 for SharePoint 2010, I just want to remind everyone that those instructions do indeed still work. There is one gotcha. They won't work for SP2 on Windows Server 2012, due to some changes in the prerequisite installer. You'll have to download a build that already has SP2 slipstreamed for Windows Server 2012.

  • If the SP2 beta was installed, is there any way to upgrade to final or is a reinstall necessary?

  • where is the 'integrated build'?

not here on the SP2 download page...

not this support topic that notes you cannot install SharePoint 2010 on Server 20102 R2 without SharePoint sp2...

  • You'll have to download it from your company's product download site, or MSDN. I see it on MSDN. It's titled

SharePoint Server 2010 with Service Pack 2 (x64) - DVD (English) . The file name is en_sharepoint_server_2010_with_service_pack_2_x64_dvd_2581604.iso.
