Want your software to interoperate with Microsoft products such as Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008, SQL Server 2008, Office 2007, Sharepoint Server 2007 and Exchange 2007 in the same way that Microsoft products themselves do?

 If so, then you might be interested in today's announcement that Microsoft is to expand interoperability of its products.  

 What this means that developers will have open access to APIs in Microsoft high-volume products (see above), and also to the protocols those products use to communicate with other Microsoft products.

There's quite a lot in there to digest, but it's a very interesting announcement...
