Hello from Moscone Center, San Francisco, where it is the third day of RSA Conference, 2008. There is no shortage of Network Access Control (NAC) solutions in the market today, and Gartner states that the market is immature and fragmented ... We say that is about to change with the release of Microsoft Network Access Protection (NAP) technologies.

Microsoft has just enabled a whole new network infrastructure that is cost effective and simple to deploy. McAfee, along with Gartner and Microsoft, believes that NAC can be deployed less expensively and more widely throughout the enterprise when it is an embedded feature versus a separate product. Today McAfee has a strong presence on the endpoint and a strong NAC product with McAfee Network Access Control version 3(MNAC 3.0). We also have a strong presence in the network with the leading Network IPS solution McAfee Intrushield. Our strategy is to make NAC easy for our customers to deploy, so this year we are providing major leaps in functionality by delivering NAP integration with our MNAC 3.0 product.

If you are considering your next moves with NAP, you should contact McAfee at asknac@mcafee.com to see just how easy it is to deploy a comprehensive NAC solution in concert with the Microsoft infrastructure you already have.
