Windows 7 Works the Way You Want: first and foremost, you want your OS and PC to “just work.” “Works the way you want” is one of the Design goals of Win7 and it embraces all the areas that technical people often refer to as fundamentals: performance, reliability, compatibility, fewer interruptions and personalization.
Faster & More Responsive - Faster boot and shut-down time.
Faster is the Cure for FRUSTRATION :o) … i always smile when i watch a movie where the actor’s computer just works in a “Hollywood” FASTER… because i knew it hasn’t been the case for me until 7 (now it's still not Hollywood :P... but Faster it is) :o)..
One of the first thing you’ll notice is how quickly Windows 7 responds to the things you ask it to do. Windows 7 starts up and shuts down faster. It’s more reliable, and it’s easier to use.
Let’s look at memory usage (RAM). In Windows 7, we are lowering our footprint. This graph shows our memory consumption vs. the number of windows the user has open. In orange, you see how a previous version of Windows increases the memory consumption linearly with open Windows. In Windows 7 – the flat dark blue bars - we use a small fixed memory set that does not increase as the user opens more Windows.
So if you’re like the rest of the Lebanese people (Always in a Hurry :P) or you’re like me, who shutdown his laptop because in 20 minutes he has to be in airport :) .. that’s one feature you’d appreciate
Improved Battery Life & Saves Energy - Less waiting and more responsive while you multi-task.
Where you one of the persons who don’t always get the best seat in the coffee shop (on the NICE COACH Near the Power outlet :P) so your entire stay at the coffee house is mostly relying on how good your battery stands. And when we’re out and about, the longer the battery lasts, the better.
When you’ve been away from your PC for a little bit, Windows 7 dims the display to 30% of its full brightness to reduce power consumption and save your battery life. Windows stays completely responsive, getting you right back to work when you want as soon as you touch the keyboard or mouse. If you still aren’t using your PC after a few more minutes, Windows 7 turns the screen off completely, saving you battery life so you can do the things you care about when you care about them.
Windows 7, Your PC Simplified!
