Well it's pretty obvious that programmers don't have feelings. If they did, they'd think twice before hurting mine.

It certainly functions like it has feelings. Go ahead and write some "bad" code and see how it behaves.

Code is kind of like a plant to me. Though I helped grow it, I know it needs to be pruned sometimes. And I don't really talk to code, though I like to put snarky comments near code for it to hear.

Major bonus points for referencing that Sesame Street skit. It will forever be in my brain:

"if it lives and eats and grows, then THAT is how you know, (oh oh oh) it's alive!"

I don't know about feelings; but I'm sure I've encountered source code that's had it out for me...
