I keep getting notices that my computer is infected with malware. So I ordered a security program from Security Suite Platinum. After I entered my credit card information and was approved and ready to install the program, Windows warned me that this company has no known licensed signature and was I sure I wanted to download the program. What does this mean to me and the effects from the program to my computer?
It sounds like that’s a fake security software program, also known as a rogue. To find out if you really have a virus on your computer, try the Windows Live Safety Scanner. Or download Microsoft Security Essentials. Both the scanner and the download are free.
