Microsoft Corp. today announced its ITPAC datacenter technology will be utilized by the UN Environment Programme (UNEP) as part of the energy efficient IT infrastructure for a new energy-neutral UN office in Nairobi. With IT often one of the most energy-intensive contributors to a building’s carbon footprint, Microsoft’s ITPAC datacenter technology is critical to ensuring the UN is able to achieve its green IT goals in Nairobi.
