Drove around for more than half an hour around Oxford street and still couldn't find Soho street, my end destination, finally found it but could not find any parking. Drove around for another can't even imagine how long looking for parking. I could have planned my trip a little better or could have remembered to take the Sat Nav, but clearly I did not plan "business steps (map)" to reach my end goal.

I did not analyse the situation in advance either, roadworks, traffic etc. "blockers", anyway finally found a spot and noticed a parking restriction sign, so called Westminster council and they said it was fine to park as it was a Bank Holiday. Returned to the car a couple of hours later to find it had been clamped, bugger, the windscreen was also plastered in notifications. Once again, called the council and parted with £115 to have the clamp removed, I tried to explain but what I had actually done was parked on the other side where a much smaller sign noted "Residents Parking".

What I thought of was, how did they know and manage to clamp within ten minutes of me parking there?

a) Unhappy resident informs council (Ad-Hoc Reporting), could even be a case of collaborative working.

b) Routine attendant (Scheduled Reporting).

c) Caught on camera (Data Driven Subscription).

Answers on a postcard......

Whatever the system, worked "FINE" and business intelligence was in place!
