Content Pipeline types (updated)

My colleague Ito pointed out that my diagram showing the flow of types through the Content Pipeline was a little out of date, and was kind enough to update it to include the more recent audio and video types:

  • I created an account just to say: You have a great blog, I love learning about the whole process of creating a professional game, it is very inspiring.  The rain/weather, skidmark/smoke and LOD articles are the best so far.  But, you would get a lot more community involvement if everyone didn't have to sign up first.  This is the first (And last) time I have commented, although I wanted to at least 10 times in the last few months.  Perhaps a captcha or something would be more appropriate?

  • Hey steveo, that's an interesting point. I originally turned off anonymous comments because I was getting a ridiculous amount of spam, and couldn't be bothered wading through it all to delete it. Requiring a login to comment took care of all that. But you're right, this could be cutting off legitimate commentors as well. I'll try turning anonymous commenting back on for a while and see if the situation has changed since I last tried it. No promises, though! :-)

  • Hello Shawn,

Just looked at the msdn library and noticed that this diagram is not up to date here : http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb447754(XNAGameStudio.31).aspx

    Regards.

Yeah. Unfortunately Ito spotted that this was out of date slightly too late to get it fixed in time for the 3.1 release.

  • Is this still valid for xna 4 ?
