OK, this just completely rocks…  A free 1000MB drive…B-)

Getting things done frequently translates into the ability to access certain files, regardless of your physical location. Because IE is required to pull off this GMail trick, I’ll continue using my webhost server to stash needed files. But since others love IE, may not have access to a Net-connected server, and may be in need of a pretend hard drive extension, I pass on this info regarding a new experimental tool: using GMail for file storage purposes.

GMail Drive creates a virtual filesystem on top of your Google GMail account and enables you to save and retrieve files stored on your GMail account directly from inside Windows Explorer. GMail Drive literally adds a new drive to your computer under the My Computer folder, where you can create new folders, copy and drag’n’drop files to.
