Once again, this year, I will be presenting in the Big !deas Session at NRF. This time around, I will be co-presenting with Patrick Carter, (CEO of Digital Folio) and David Waters (Sr, Director of Business Development at Retail Insight).

My session will focus on Big Data in Retail as well as Microsoft's offerings in the space. The theme will revolve around how retailers can make use of Big Data analytics to drive a superior customer experience. Part of this experience is focused on Right Product, Right Price & Right Time.
Retail Insight (http://www.retailinsight.uk.com/) focuses on delivering insights to retailers around Shelf Management and ensuring that the Right Product is in Stock at all times. They process large amounts of retail data to provide daily predictive analysis to avoid out of stock situatiuons.
Digital Folio (http://www.digitalfolio.com/Home/About) has a highly innovative crowd sourced pricing and on-hand inventory solution that can be used by retailers and consumer goods companies to understand the price and availability across the online marketplace in real-time. Retailers need analytics that show them the aggregate pricing situation in real-time. Digital Folio offers this, and their price and inventory movement data is now available on the Azure Marketplace to enable retailers to set the Right Price.
Microsoft enables big data scenarios for partners like Retail Insight and Digital Folio using technologies that enable Insights at the Right Time for the Right People. HDInsight is Microsoft’s 100% Apache compatible Hadoop distribution, supported by Microsoft. HDInsight, available both on Windows Server or as an Windows Azure service, empowers organizations with new insights on previously untouched unstructured data, while connecting to the most widely used Business Intelligence (BI) tools on the planet.
