Bing Ads Intelligence is a powerful keyword research tool that allows you to build and expand on your keyword lists using the familiar Microsoft Office Excel interface. It enables you to easily gauge the performance of relevant keywords on the Yahoo Bing Network, and then apply those insights to improve your keyword selection and campaign performance.
I have discovered that the Bing Ads Intelligence Addin can give Retailers amazing insights into popularity of products and services over time and the variations of the popularity across different times of the year. The information that can be acquired using the Bing Ads Intelligence Addin also includes a breakdown of geographic location where certain search terms are popular than others. In addition, I also like the capability of analyzing the demographic mix by age and gender for specific search terms.
I recently met up with an Outdoor Gear retailer and we analyzed the popularity of several outdoor activities across the country and correlated this information to store locations. In addition, it was interesting to see where in the country, camping was more popular than, say Kayaking, or what activity was popular with the 18-24yr olds vs the 50-64 yr olds.
The Bing Ads Intelligence Addin can be downloaded from LINK. I used Power View for Excel 2013 to build the visualizations.
Here is an interactive view of the visualization that I built using Power View. Feel free to use the slicer to filter specific activities and interact with the data.
You need a Frames Capable browser to view this content.
Here is a full screen version of the Interactive Visualization.
