As an SDET for Office and Games Test Org (GTO), shipped MS Word 2007, PC strategy title “Age of Empires 3” (AOE) and Xbox 360 karaoke title “Lips”. Innovated several tools and technologies that cut manual testing time allowing for smarter and deeper testing. Owned testing of the Office component “MOC” that converts 2007 files into legacy files. Led the testing of critical system level components for Lips and AOE by tasking 7-12 contractors while executing advanced tests myself.

n  Used cutting edge tools to test my features with bare minimum development cost by consolidating the plethora of unpublished tools developed by various experts in the GTO and integrating my own ideas. Some of these tools are being used in Dublin and Japan.

n  Collaborated with designers early in the project cycle and provided them with product research enabling them to create better user experiences and more stable features that would otherwise not have been possible due to tight deadlines.

n  Designed a C# tool to test fairness and resource balance of random map generation engine on AOE. The tool in production saved approx 110 hours of manual testing per run. 

n  Developed a C# tool that recorded Xbox360 performance counters in SQL. Mined the data to generate performance trends, stability reports and find memory leaks that were used to determine project health.

n  Published a C# tool to //toolbox that makes it easier to verify any installation process from a file manifest. The tool was used daily on AOE and is now in use by other projects around Microsoft.

n  Created a solid set of test plans, test cases, test tools and best practices for testing game features such as performance, security, file IO, networking and installation. These can be leveraged and reused by future projects avoiding reinvention.

n  Automated acceptance tests for MS Word on a .NET based test framework that ran daily and increased the efficiency of BVT testing.

Test and Automation Engineer for Oracle connector for MS Outlook (OCFO) team, part of Oracle Collaboration Suite. Entrusted with quality assurance of a special project released in 10gR2.

n  Independently designed and developed an automated testing suite for e-mail component verification of OCFO. Project employs 10,000+ LOC in WinRunner Test Script Language and in production saves 108 man hours every pass throughout the product cycle.
