Today we announce the availability of Silverlight 3 and Microsoft Expression 3.

With version 3, Silverlight rounds out a feature list that delivers innovation and benefits to key areas of rich internet applications, including:

  • Support for true high definition video
  • Improved line of business support, including data validation and element-to-element databinding
  • Pixel shaders for deeper rendering control
  • More than 90 controls and themes, with source code and unit tests in the Silverlight Toolkit

SketchFlow, a prototyping feature of Expression Blend 3, has ignited a debate in the design world, changing ideas about established procedures and tools as it enables a single workflow from prototype to production and turning sketches into customer demos, prototypes and finished applications.
