Pie in the Sky (July 27, 2012)

It's almost August and it seems everyone but me is on vacation. That's OK though, as it's just a few weeks until I take a break. If you're stuck at work, or just working while on vacation, here's some links for Friday.

• Running multiple Wordpress blogs on Azure Websites: A quick post that shows you how to run multiple WordPress sites on Windows Azure Websites.

• PhoneGap 2.0 releases: If you're doing any sort of mobile development, you should take a look at PhoneGap. It lets you write cross-platform applications using HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

• The Patient Knows What's Wrong with Him: Good article about the gap between what people want [with UI] and thier ability to express that want.

• Azure CDN - with AzureCdn.Me and MVC3: Short article on using Windows Azure CDN for static assests. While the AzureCdn.Me mentioned in the article is a Visual Studio thing, the underlying concept is useful no matter the language or development environment.

• How to Measure Browser Graphics Performance: Useful if you have a graphics intensive application.

• jsSHA: A new JavaScript implementation of the entire family of SHA hashes. Nifty!

• JS101: A Brief Lesson on Scope: I ran into a scoping issue just last week. It was dumb (on my part) and took me a while to find. So here's a refresher on scope in JavaScript!

• Accessing App Settings Configured in Windows Azure Web Sites with PHP and Node.js: Steps to configure, and example code to access, environment variables on Windows Azure Web Sites.
