If you are reading this blog for the first time, which is likely, I usually keep them short and sweet.  This is a “job hobby” for me, and isn’t really a part of my “metrics” at Microsoft.  Usually I write in my blog according to the original version of Web Log, which was shorten to blog.  This is a log of what I am working on and thinking about, so I deeply apologize for the randomness and weirdness of the blog.  Please feel free to give me feedback.  Although I do some self editing, and from time to time blogs will disappear when I suddenly realize that I didn’t do a good job of self-editing.  This isn’t a book, or a structured discussion like many people write, it simply my working out ideas and that kind of thing.  Jerry Nixon and others on my team do a great job of writing in structured ways.  Sometimes I just feel silly or other times I need to post something for an audience and I use the blog. Blah, blah, blah.

I try not to do stream of consciousness, but it might seem like it.

I am employed by Microsoft and my boss would like it if I actually worked for Microsoft, but let's leave it at employed.  And it is a great place to work.  Lots of challenges, most of them intellectual, and the remaining ones the usual ones everyone has to face.
