We are kicking off our Month of HTML5 tomorrow, 28 March at Microsoft Johannesburg starting at 6pm. There will be 3 more sessions each week. Same place, same time.

What am I going to learn?

We give you an introduction to developing applications and games for Internet Explorer and Metro - the new touch-based part of Windows 8. Some of the topics that will be covered are:

• Introducing HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript
• Graphics using Canvas
• Adding Video and Sound
• Web Storage
• Leveraging WinRT to build native Windows 8 apps
