Rob let me try out his new RSS-enabled newsgroup reader, so now I can finally start to track all those usenet newsgroups I've never had the time to read. 

Google Groups (Beta) has something similar, but it's only for the newgroups they've blessed (which thankfully includes speech.tech).  If you want to read other newgroups, like Speech Desktop and other Microsoft communities that work with speech you're out of luck.  Of course, you could always get them through the Microsoft Newgroup Reader, but with Rob's system I can track it through RSS.  Way cool.
