  • Where are the CUs for 64bit versions?

  • Hi.

The x64 CU7 for SP1 looks broken or incomplete - if I download and run on mutilple servers then there are no 'features' available to be updated...

    Gary.

  • Hi,

Program Setup does not find components SQL Server 2008 for updating.

  • As Itzik points out as a comment to my blog post:

    http://sqlblog.com/blogs/aaron_bertrand/archive/2010/01/19/new-cumulative-updates-for-sql-server-2008-rtm-sp1.aspx

It seems like the tool or person responsible for packaging the downloads actually used the CU9 for RTM files when packaging the CU6 for SP1 package.  This is true for both x86 and x64 - the extracted EXE has KB977444 in the filename, when it should say KB977443.

(While we're fixing this process, can we also spell "cumulative" right in the names of the download files?)

  • I made some observations about how this process seems to trip over itself just about every time.  I hope some of these mis-steps can be improved as we continue to publish cumulative updates...
