There is a SQLServer2008R2_RTM_CU5_2438347_10_50_1753_IA64 but not the x86 and x64 equivalents. I have been told that there was an x86 version a couple of days ago, but it has disappeared. I know people that have said that they have downloaded and installed these patches that have since gone "AWOL".

If there is a bug and these two updates have been" pulled" you should publish something on your blog about that!

None of the hotfixes for 2008 r2 are availabel. You get taken to a page which reads:

The system is currently unavailable. Please try back later, or contact support if you want immediate assistance.support.microsoft.com/contactus

This has been the case since October 2010 - before cu #5 was released.

do you know what is happening?
