Offical team blog for SSDT, a tool for on and off-premise database development
This update to the Data-Tier Application Framework (DACFx) addresses a high-priority issue causing potential data corruption during DAC Package creation. The issue is described below:
You can obtain this new version of DACFx and its dependencies from our Microsoft Download Center page here. This version of DACFx supersedes all previously available versions. This new version of DACFx supports in-place upgrade from previous versions, so it is not required to remove previous DACFx installations before upgrading to this new release.
If you are on an x64 machine, you will need to install both the x64 and x86 versions of the MSIs from the DACFx May download page linked above.
The version of this update is 11.1.2825.1. This supersedes the previously available March release (11.1.2824.1). You can determine which version of the Data-Tier Application Framework you currently have installed via Windows Add/Remove Programs.
This release of DACFx is fully compatible with the December 2012 release of SQL Server Data Tools released on 12/13, available here. This release is also compatible with SSMS of SQL Server 2012 and SQL Server 2012 SP1.

SSDT tools question.. When you right-click on the database project in solution explorer > Publish.. There is no an easy way to select a previously saved publishing profile, other than clicking [Load] and navigating to the file with settings, huh? A drop down list with publishing profiles would save lots of time I guess.
Hi, Please update version and link at msdn.microsoft.com/.../jj650015
@Konstantin - In the project system, you can simply double-click on a publish profile in the project to bring up the Publish dialog pre-populated with the settings that are specified in the profile. This allows you a quick jumping-off point for the different profiles contained within your project.
@Alexander - Thanks for the good catch. I have updated the two SSDT download pages with the new DACFx version and links.
@Adam, yeah, I know how it works. Just was hoping the publishing process would become aligned with other publishing tools in VS (similar to web apps, cloud apps publishing).
SSDT is extremely useful but unfortunately without the 'ignore column order' option is deemed useless in our team.
When will there be an update to SSDT? We've been waiting patiently for the promised Data Compare feature...
What happened to the Schema view mode that the Project node was supposed to contain? We're being forced to move to VS 2012, and without this functionality the use of schemas very difficult.
Does anyone know when the team is getting back from their extended vacation and work on some data comparison tools ?
Are we supposed to download/install all six files? I've got an x64 system.
