Mobile Acceleration Week is back, this time headed east for our first-ever program in New York City. In the city that never sleeps, six top startups will literally be developing around the clock to build their Windows Phone apps.
You can follow the event live via Twitter and our Mobile Acceleration Week website.
As with our past Mobile Acceleration Week and Mobile Incubation Week events, the goal of the program is to help great startups build compelling apps on the Windows Phone platform. We help them get there through dedicated 1:1 technical support, assisted coding, Samsung Windows Phones, AT&T SIM cards, and a full agenda of instructional workshops during the week. At the end of the program, startups benefit from special marketing gives to drive adoption and downloads.
This is our seventh program, having run past events in Mountain View (twice), Washington, D.C., London, Singapore, and Tel Aviv. This event promises to be one of the most exciting ever, including development on the recently announced Windows Phone Mango release. New for this event, we’ll be offering free PR consulting to all startups by Waggener Edstrom. On Thursday, we’ll be hosting a special press-only event to demo the freshly minted Windows Phone apps.
We have an outstanding line-up of companies, ranging from group dating to personal healthcare apps and everything in between: Digital Folio, Ed Rover, GroupMe, Ignighter, My6Sense, and mySkin. Congratulations to all the startups. As they say, if you can make it in New York, you can make it anywhere. Frank Sinatra (and Jay-Z) would be proud.
A special thanks to our event sponsors: Samsung, AT&T, Avventa, AppHub, Waggener Edstrom, and iLink Systems.
