Wow we finally came up with a pretty cool name for a product (oops, service) that looks like we'll stick with past beta. Soapbox is our foray in to the online video market and Rob Bennett (ex IE team) talked to the BBC about it. The site is open by invitation only and is currently experiencing some issues but it's good to see us displaying some humour about that!
It will be ineresting to see how we differentiate from YouTube which is one of my favourite sites and I'm hopeful we make a shell extension like Flickr's available so you can do a simple right click upload. C|Net said " It's a slightly better sharing service than YouTube in some small technical ways," but I'm not clear why.
Anyway, I'm off to blag my way on to the beta and let you know what I think.
