It's been in testing for a while and I can't live without it now (on Vista) - though I expect I'll be a Zune marketplace man in a little over 13 days :)
If you have XP, you should check out WMP11 though as there are some very cool features such as the search interface and album art interface which I think iTunes has recently taken some guidance from. I know, weird role reversal eh? :)
Ummm... doesn't the one that comes out first get the credit? This looks like iTunes with a coat of "shiny" on it. Oh, wait. They moved the play button. What will they think of next. Maybe sorting by covers. That would be new. Right? Right?
Hi Rick...I guess that is one way to look at it though WMP11 has been in beta for quite some time which I know Apple doesn't really do so difficult to compare as WMP11 has been out there but not released. I think there is a bit more than just shiny here but hey, I use both and like features of both so can see pluses and minuses in both. I like the way WMP11 syncs with lots of different devices though ;)
re: wmp11 with xp home addition.
Is it possible to play an entire music album collection of another account user (both have admin. privilage) without having to transfer all the files. Wouldn't this mean you would need the albums downloaded on the hardrive in two different locations? Is there anyway to open the same media player with the same albums for each different user without having to transfer all the music?
