One of my absolute favourite shortcuts in Internet Explorer that I use probably 50 times a day and VistaClues reminded me to blog about it.
If you want to go to a .com website and you know it's something like www.nike.com for example, just type nike in the address bar and hit Ctrl + Enter. Bingo!
[update] John reminded me that you can do this with just "Enter" in Firefox. One less keystroke for the RSI conscious!

Steve, surprised you failed to mention that this works in Firefox as well, albeit you don't need to hit ctrl key, just Enter :-)
A shocking oversight Mr Wilson. I'll edit approriately now as I understand Firefox is quite popular these days :)
oddly, this works in just about every browser Firefox, Safari, for every platform (including IE for Mac) *except* IE for windows.
In fact, on the other browsers I can type just microsoft/word to go to the MS Word website. Sadly, there's no way to do this in IE for windows.
And holding down Shift and Ctrl+Shift before pressing enter adds .net and .org, respectively, in FF :)
