We're doing lots of cool stuff with BT at the moment though I hadn't seen this until I read C|Net today - a BT & Microsoft mashup competition with $25,000 at stake for the winner. It's all part of Microsoft's Connected Services sandbox that frankly doesn't get as much airtime as it should. All this week I've heard about Yahoo Tubes, Google enterprise apps and more. Meantime, developers are innovating on the Microsoft platform and with our partners like BT and we do an average job of getting the word out. It could just be that I'm reading in the wrong places of course but it strikes me that this activity needs a viral breakout rather than press releases in the telco press. For heavens sake, there are already 53 mashups built on this stuff....let's get the word out. Stuff like Billing, SMS, Directions, National Weather Services - all available with lovely WSDL to connect to.

Go forth and build people...and bring the cash back to UK shores!
