One question I'm being asked a lot at the moment regards drivers for Windows Vista. There are more to come but manufacturers are now churning them out on a weekly basis. XP drivers can still work and you can choose to run apps in XP compatability mode if that helps. Have things got better or worse since XP? Well more than 31,000 updated drivers were ready whenVista was launched compared to 12,000 that were available at the completion of Windows XP.
More are becoming available every day through Windows Update.I just came across a great article on the whole driver hunt issue via James's blog. It's written by John Swenson and is pretty thorough look at how you get Vista drivers. It covers stuff like
Automatic updates keep it simple
When to look for a driver yourself
Newer isn't always better
The case of the missing driver
Worried? Try Upgrade Advisor
Hope you find it useful

Some new features are quietly being added to Live Search around RSS, blogs etc. Amit has a pretty good round up of them. Check out http://search.live.com/feeds/ which has a beta of a Live Search for blogs similar to Google Blog Search.

Pretty funny spoof by Novell on the Apple Mac ads. The Guardian's Jack Schofield has a detailed analysis of the approach as does Ted Haeger from the Novell side of things. Certainly more thorough than any views I can offer with the football only a few hours away. I actually quite like the ad though I did have a worry from the Linux side. My Liverpool background has taught me to beware who you accept free gifts from - you don't know where they may have come from.
I'm a real sucker for beautiful wallpapers for my PC and thankfully the days of cheezy wallpapers are becoming a thing of the past as some seriously good photographers are putting their talents in to wallpaper. Long is pretty good at finding them and here is the latest addition - from Microsoft Singapore.
Singapore also has some cool gadgets specific to their region
