The cool cats at Joost invited me to their beta a while back and I had a quick play then but dabbled some more today. Quite impressive though Ivan raises some interesting concerns on how viable. It made me think I should go check on the progress of Microsoft's IPTV plans. I saw our technology in action at our Life2 house last year and it looked VERY impressive.
Oh...did I mention I have some Joost invites?
Just wandered over to the Joost homepage... very very interesting indeed. Would you be kind enough to offer one of the invites across? : ) or is there a criteria to meet?
Many thanks and as always a great blog !
IPTV - well, have you seen that BT Vision thing they are showing adverts for on the TV ;-)
I had not heard about this before looks very good. Can I have an invite, or do you require some type of bribe ;-)
Would you be so kind to send me and invite, k8te_1999 [at] yahoo.com?
Hey, Steve. If I'm not too late, a Joost invite would be much appreciated!
all invites are on their way. closed for now!
Jay, Claire - need your email addresses
Hey, Steve. Thanks!!
I noticed in the terrms that you need to share bandwidth and computer resources with other Joost users to be able to use the program...
2.1.3. The Joost Software will utilize the processor, bandwidth and hard drive (or other memory or storage hardware) and/or cache of your computer (or other applicable device) for the limited purpose of facilitating the communication between, and the transmittal of data, content, programming, services or features to, you and other Joost Software users, and to facilitate the operation of the network of computers running instances of the Joost Software.
I was wondering if you noticed any lag in your system or bandwidth while using the program?
Yep, definitely noticed some lag though I read today in The Sunday Times that Joost plans to have this stuff worked out.
please invite me,my email firstname.lastname@example.org pozdrawiam z poland.
