The latest Windows Vista Service Pack 1 RC Refresh (mouthful eh) is now publicly available. Personal experience would suggest if you're using Vista, give it a whirl. Definite improvements though as usual, not for use in production environments etc etc.

Will this refresh prompt me to activate windows and then fail to activate over the internet?
honestly don't know Jonathan. Never had that problem myself and not heard of it so worth calling support on if you still have it

Make sure you do a backup first... During the install it would just blue screen when trying to start, and trying to do a repair with the windows disk didn't fix anything. At least the version before that would roll your system back.
