I’m biased as some of my friends work there but I think Channel 9 did a better job than the BBC at getting insight from Bill on the changes afoot. He talks about his own decisions, the future of Think Week, Quests and the role of Chief Software Architect (CSA). He also mentions Ray Ozzie will be at PDC to talk about services in the cloud and stuff they’ve been working on for 3 years. Hmmm :)
Bill clearly has a lot of respect for Ray and says he will do the job of CSA differently to him. He gives pretty thorough explanation of this different approach and why it’s right for this era. He also mentions some of the guys working there – Amitabh Srivastava, David Cutler and others and discusses Windows 7 as it related to cloud computing.
As Charles says in his C9 post - Enjoy. This is a good one.
Channel9 and the BBC is an entirely different audience though.
I suspect your typical BBC viewer last Friday could care less about Think Week.
That's a very valid point John - I hadn't thought of it that way. I still think the BBC didn't get under the skin of Bill as much as I'd hoped for though. still, pretty fun show for an hour!
