Hoping someone can help me - Windows was doing an auto upgrade and my computer locked up and shut off - now I can't even reboot to get it started - comes up stop with error code -0X0000007E - hope someone can tell me how to get around this so I can boot my computer - have tried safe mode and last configuration - does not work - my email is rickl_06@yahoo.com

LOL. I've heard about it. Here is the summary of what I heard "Windows Vista in a controlled environment".
Nothing is as perfect as a controlled environment. People are going to try to install on their current machine (which wont be powerful enough), people are going to be in weird network configuration with old network card or "yet" unsupported hardware (improving every month though).
And yet and not last, people are not going to buy Windows Vista Ultime as a starter. When they buy from Dell (or HP, or any other manufacturer), they are going to get Windows Vista Home Premium (basic if their computer is a low range).
Overall, we didn't have all the details of this marketing push. I request all the details of the "experiment". The machine used (how much they paid), what they asked the user to do, how many computer were on the networks, if they tried a printer. You know... all the things that really matter.
