Microsoft released an open source content management system this week called Oxite. I haven’t had time to look at it with the chaos of LeWeb this week but it looks promising and comes from the cool cats who do our MIX conference. Now if we can just get MSIT to use this instead or upgrade our Telligent servers for blogs.msdn.com that’d be smashing :)
Anyone using this already? Could a simple geek like me use it?
There is also some talk about using Oxcite as a CMS on Mono over on Miguel de Icaza's blog.. http://tirania.org/blog/archive/2008/Dec-09.html
For some there exists still some confusion over whether the license for ASP.NET MVC is compatible with Mono, since the original clearly was not. The license has changed from what was originally on codeplex and the current license in the beta MSI seems to be Mono compatible.
