I met up with our hardware team in the UK today who equipped me with a fine collection of new Microsoft gadgets from the secret cupboard including a new Blue Track mouse, a new wireless headset and a new keyboard and web cam. Expect reviews soon and also a few competitions to win this stuff but in the meantime, get ready for a very addictive game.
How well do you know your technology and when it was released? Click the image above to find out or go to http://www.microsoft.com/uk/hardware/mouseandkeyboard/bluetrack/timeline-game.aspx
Internet Explorer 8 Release Candidate 1 was released today. Go grab it!
NB: This build will not install on Windows 7
Two great new image related sites I’m enjoying that play with the Flickr API. First up is Multicolr Search Lab by Idée Inc who build an image montage from a colour palette you select from. Strangely addictive that visual similarity technology. Be sure to try combining 2 or 3 colours to see the real effect. Stunning.
Next up is Compfight who do something similar to Flickrleech though not as well in my opinion. Added to which I just found through writing this post that Flickrleech is now a desktop app for PC and Mac. Yay – stunning work by Andrew Houser
it’s a growing enterprise this themes business. Hot on the heels of my original post on there are more new Windows 7 Themes – this time from Paul Thurrott.
I also meant to post a link to http://www.ithinkdiff.com/windows-7-themes/ a while back when the author, Imran Hussain posted a link in my comments. He has a beautiful, large set of free Windows 7 themes.
Very hand for all you Netbook kids out there this video shows you how you can install Win7 on machines without a DVD Drive. I’ve used it on my NC10 and it’s fast and efficient. Basically you make a USB stick bootable and put the bits on there. Voila!
thanks to Dennis and I noticed the master blogger Sarah Perez also blogged it and recommended checking out the comments on the original post for advanced tips.
Oh and if you haven’t grabbed the Windows 7 bits yet, time is running out so grab ‘em soon!
