Zune 120

As blogged by Brandon last week, Zune.net quietly introduced some very cool new features on their site recently. Sadly the features are only available to those in the US right now and I hope they go wider as they’re pretty cool

  • entire podcast catalog is now available to be browsed via Zune.net and can be subscribed to.
  • all 12,000+ audio podcasts can now be streamed directly from Zune.net using Silverlight

Jessica Zahn gives you more details on the Zune Insider site about the make your own music quiz feature.

Meantime, I drove home from Liverpool to London this weekend with my Zune connected to the car stereo via the AUX port and my passenger spent the trip building a playlist for us. As an avid iPod user she was seriously impressed with Zune saying it has great graphics, was intuitive and easy to use and she’d buy one just to be different from the iPod population.

Nice to hear…I love Zune. It’s a really great device and the team executes their work very well…I just hope it comes to the UK soon!

  • I just got back from a gig about 20 minutes ago, was asked about my Zune several times and the interest generated was certainly a surprise. My only hope is that they keep the pricing fair on this side of the Atlantic- I love my Zune Pass but couldn't afford £15/month... give me £7.50-10/month and we're talking.

I haven't used the music quiz yet but the podcast streaming is a very nice feature- something that deserves more exposure than it's getting.

Slightly off topic but am I the only one shocked at the new Shuffle? I love simple design but there's a limit y'know?
