I didn’t see this coming – the public beta of the next version of Exchange went live today. Exchange 2010 is focused on savings costs through reduced admin overheads and is the first in a wave of server products designed to work on-premises or in the cloud. As it happens I’ve been testing the latter for some time as a user of Exchange Labs and have some friends using the service to sync email with their iPhones. Works very well.
At the same time we announced Office 2010, SharePoint Server 2010, Visio 2010 and Project 2010 will enter technical preview in Q3 of 2009 and will release in first half of 2010.
